Coach (Miss) Kate

Owner/Director

Kate began her dance training in preschool and has trained all over the United States as well as overseas in Germany. She also has training in basic gymnastics and tumbling skills. 

Coach Kate started dancing competitively in High School wining top honors for her tap and lyrical technique. 

She began teaching her Senior Year of High School assisting with the younger students. Over the years she has continued to share her passion for dance with students and studios all over the midwest. Her competive teams have won numberous regional and national honors including judges choice, top overalls, and category  cups.

She has trained with many top Choreographers such as: Stacy Tookey, Mark Meisner, Teddy Teldholm, Ray Leeper, And Denise Wall.

Miss Bri D. 

Choreographer/Teacher/Sub 

Brianna Downey has been performing professionally since 2012. She is currently a principal dancer for modern acrobat/dance company, Galumpha, Galumpha delivers a fast-paced, athletic brand of movement, distinctive for its ingenuity. They combine stunning acrobatics, striking visual effects, physical comedy and inventive choreography to bring a world of imagination to life. Galumpha is a triumphant mix of art and entertainment, offering world-class, award winning choreography (Edinburgh Festival Critics' Choice Award, Moers International Comedy Arts Prize). Brianna also spent 5 football seasons (2012 - 2016) working as a professional cheerleader for the Gotham City Cheerleaders, the only pro-cheer team to support the NY Giants.  She has performed and taught dance internationally in Mumbai, India - where she performed daily on a live television show; Tokyo, Japan - where she lead an NFL Pro-Cheer Workshop in conjunction with World Sports Communications; and Bolzano, Italy - where she performed with Galumpha in the European Cabaret Competition 'Niederstätter surPrize 2016'.   Brianna has appeared as an extra in numerous television shows including Saturday Night Live, Last Week Tonight w/ John Oliver, The Steve Harvey Show, and more. She thanks Ann Szymaniak & the staff at The Dance Connection in Binghamton, NY for her training.

Miss Britney

Instructor/Choreographer

Assistant Director 

Britney is trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and pointe. She began dancing at the age of 3 and has over 13+ years of experience dancing both competitively and non competitively. Britney is a K-State Alum and has lived in Manhattan for 11 years. She has 2 boys and also currently works at Stonecreek Physicians as a medical assistant. Britney loves working out, reading, yoga, and spending time with her boys when she's not working. Her motto is live with passion! And a passion for dance is one that she has had for as long as she can remember!

Miss Carmen

Instructor/Choreographer

Carmen has a background in lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, and the famous TEXAS LINE KICK DANCE!! Born and raised in Texas Carmen has danced competitively and non competitively. With over 15+ years of dance training, she obtained a scholarship for dance in college but declined to pursue a career in the Army as a medic. Eventually her military career landed her in Manhattan, KS where she currently works as a para and a beloved dance teacher. Carmen has 3 beautiful daughters and loves dancing!

Miss Brenna

Mini Team Assistant 

Brenna has been dancing ever since she was in preschool! She is trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and pointe! She also has some basic tap training as well. Brenna is currently a member of our Competitive Team and has won various top awards for her solos, duos, trios, and group performances! She loves kids and loves dance! We're proud to have her as a junior assistant!

Miss Caroline B. 

Sub

Miss Caroline is currently a student at Kstate and comes to us with many years of dance and teaching experience. She grew up dancing at Wichita Dance Theatre and Dance Center in Wichita KS where she trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern! Caroline started assisting with classes at age 12. She also assisted with managing recital, helping with costumes, assisting photo shoots, and assisting with stage management and backstage management. Caroline also performed on her High School Dance Team for 4 years where she assisted with practices and choreography. She loves helping students learn new skills and is excited to be a part of the PD family!!

Miss Greta 

Assistant Teacher

Greta  has been dancing since elementary school and has been a student and competitive team member for a few years now! She may come off as shy and quiet but she's a total goof! Greta trains in jazz, lyrical/contemporary, and ballet technique. She loves to help out with our younger students!

Miss Chalsey 

Assistant Teacher

Chalsey has been dancing ever since she was little! She has been with PD for a couple of years and is also a comptetitive team member. She loves sharing her passion for dance when helping with our tiny tots classes. Chalsey trains in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical/contemporary ans she's also been know to pop into a hip hip class every now and then too!

Miss Raegan (Rae) 

Assistant Teacher

Miss Raegan has been dancing since she was a little tike! She loves helping out with our younger classes! Rae trains in ballet, jazz, contemporary/lyrical, and tap and is another of our competitive team students

Miss Rachel

Sub 

Miss Rachel grew up in  Platte City, Missouri. She  is currently a sophomore at KState and transferred there from UCM. Rachel started dance at 4 years old and was also on her high school dance team for 4 years. After High School she  took her dance career farther and made the University of Central Missouri Mulekickers Dance Team her freshman year of college. Rachel very experienced in pom, jazz, lyrical/ contemporary, hip hop, technique, and musical theatre. She is super excited to sheare her passion for dance with the PD family!

Miss Bri T.

Twirling Instructor/Sub

Bir has been doing competitive twirling since she was 3 years old. She has won many State, Regional, and National titles. She began teaching when she was 9 years old  helping coach for her mom’s group. Bri has also taken dance since I was 3 years old.
Currently, she is a student at K-State with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Leadership Studies. She is excited to be one of the Kansas State Twirler’s! Bri says that she "can’t wait to meet and teach you all the wonderful sport of baton twirling!"

Miss Caroline K.

Tumbling/Acro Instructor

Caroline has trained in gymnastics and tumbling from a very young age. She is excited to share her skill set with our beginner -advanced students!

Miss Meghan

Meghan has danced ever since she was 2 years old. She trained  at Denise’s Dance Academy in Overland Park, Kansas for 16 years. Meghan was also was apart of her varsity dance team all four years of high school at Saint James Academy in Lenexa, Kansas. She was a sophomore Lieutenant, junior lieutenant and senior captain. Meghan is excited to share her passion for dance with the PD family!

Miss Sarah has been dancing ever since she was little! She has training in jazz, lyrical and ballet!

Miss  Amy

Zumba Instructor

Amy (who just so happens to also be one of our amazing mini team moms) has always had a passion for fitness! She completed her Zumba training a couple years ago and is excited to share this fun fast paced dance fitness class with our PD Family!!

Mr Erik

Assistant Teacher

Erik has done both dance and flag core since highschool, with some additional dance training in his younger years as well! He is a strong competitive team leader and enjoys assisting with hip hop classes!
